The Red Stallion
Elderly Aggie Curtis (Jane Darwell) is in financial trouble and must come up with cash or sell the horse ranch she runs with her orphaned grandson, Joel (Ted Donaldson). Hoping to save the ranch, Joel decides to train his favorite horse, a stallion named Red, to race. This proves to be no easy task, though -- while Red is speedy, he's also quite unruly. But the Curtises' wealthy neighbor, Moresby (Pierre Watkin), takes an interest in buying Red, and Joel must consider selling his animal pal.

John Ford's landmark Western revolves around an assorted group of colorful passengers aboard the Overland stagecoach bound for Lordsburg, New Mexico, in the 1880s. Side by side, they attempt to piece together the amnesiac's past, which may or may not have something to do with a robbery, and either way is somehow connected to a town that's also called Jericho.

Sheriff Wade Addams (Hugh O'Brian) is engaged to Linda Gibson (Nancy Gates) and searching for an elusive killer, Tris Hatten (Raymond Burr). Linda's little brother, Clay (Donald MacDonald), happens upon Tris' hideout one day, and immediately notifies Wade, who arrests the killer. Despite efforts to keep Clay's involvement a secret, the details come out and Clay's life is threatened. Wade must protect Clay while sidestepping attempts on his own life by Tris' henchmen.

But then the tribe attacks the wagon, killing Jerry and wounding Chadbourne. Ben is freed to help, but the group's troubles have only begun.
