Bigger Than Life After schoolteacher Ed Avery (James Mason) faints and is hospitalized, doctors diagnose him with a fatal arterial illness and tell him he has a few months to live. Ed agrees to an experimental treatment with cortisone, and makes what appears to be a miraculous recovery. However, upon his return home, his wife, Lou (Barbara Rush), notices severe mood shifts in him. His friend and coworker Wally (Walter Matthau) also perceives the changes, and discovers that Ed has been abusing the cortisone.

Decision Before Dawn During World War II, an American intelligence unit led by Col. Devlin (Gary Merrill) is recruiting German prisoners of war to infiltrate enemy lines and gather vital information. Lt. Rennick (Richard Basehart) heads a unit of Germans that includes the mistrustful "Tiger" (Hans Christian Blech) and the wide-eyed "Happy" (Oskar Werner). When word arrives that a German general is about to negotiate the surrender of his corps, Devlin sends Rennick and his volunteers on a dangerous mission.

Hell and High Water Mercenary sub commander, Captain Adam Jones (Richard Widmark), sells his services to noted atomic scientist Professor Montel (Victor Francen) and his daughter, Denise (Bella Darvi). Professor Montel is convinced the Communists are about to launch a nuclear attack on Korea from an island in the Arctic and blame it on the United States. Captain Jones does not care about politics, but the earnest Professor and his supporters win him over to their cause and they try to thwart the Communist's plans.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Harriman Nelson (Walter Pidgeon) is the creator of a revolutionary nuclear submarine. After testing its capabilities in the Arctic Ocean, Nelson and the commanding officer (Robert Sterling) surface the vessel, only to discover the sky ablaze. Learning that the Van Allen radiation belt has caught fire, Nelson conceives a plan that could save the planet from destruction, but the U.N. shoots it down. Nelson is convinced it will work, but an onboard psychiatrist (Joan Fontaine) questions his sanity.

The Neptune Factor When an earthquake on the ocean floor causes an underwater laboratory to fall into a deep trench and places the scientists' lives in peril, Cmdr. Adrian Blake (Ben Gazzara) embarks on a rescue mission in his small experimental submarine. Along with a crew that includes Dr. Leah Jansen (Yvette Mimieux) and diver Don MacKay (Ernest Borgnine), Blake attempts to save the scientists from the unexplored depths, while encountering gigantic sea creatures that threaten their survival.
